South Italian Terracotta Apulian Black Glazed Dish With Palmettes
Item Description
C. 4th-3rd century BC
An Apulian terracotta dish with incised palmette design to the centre, within a border of linear decoration, over a red painted circle. It has a red painted base and stands on a short foot.
Although the rim is chipped, it has clear incised detail with good colour.
Provenance: Ex Lincs Collection, collected in the 1980’s to 1990’s.
