Roman Terracotta Dish
Item Description
C. 1st-2nd century AD
A small terracotta dish with a conical body and a tall angular flange with a rounded rim, which sits on a short pedestal foot.
Although chipped it has a nice glaze and is of a nice style.
Provenance: Deceased Estate of an East Anglian school teacher who later retired to the Isle of Wight. A keen collector and antiquarian who amassed a collection between the `1960’s-80’s.
