Roman Glass Fusiform Bottle
Item Description
C. 3rd-4th century AD
An interesting translucent pale green glass fusiform bottle with an everted rim and a small mouth, with a tall cylindrical neck. It has a bi-conical mid-section to body with a rounded base.
Intact and in excellent condition with some light iridescence. Stand included.
Provenance: Deceased Estate of an East Anglian school teacher who later retired to the Isle of Wight. A keen collector and antiquarian who amassed a collection between the 1960’s-1980’s.
