Egyptian Faience Snake Head Amulet

Item Description

C. 712–332 BC –  Late Period

An interesting faience amulet depicting the forepart of a snake. It would have been placed on a mummy to invoke Isis’s protection from snakes in the underworld.

In excellent condition, with a nice glaze and good detail.
