C. 1570-30 BC – New Kingdom to Ptolemaic Period

A beautiful restrung, elegant, Egyptian bead bracelet, composed of a selection of turquoise coloured, faience tubular beads and polychromatic disc-shaped beads, in a style inspired by the earliest royal bracelets known, (from about 3000 BC) which were found in the tomb of King Djer.

Faience is a glazed ceramic, produced from quartz or sand crystals mixed with other compounds. It produces vibrant colours and is finished with an alkaline glaze to surface. The Egyptians believe faience represents immortality and rebirth.
