Egyptian Blue Glazed Faience Shabti With Hieroglyphs
Item Description
C. 713-332 BC – 26th Dynasty – Late Period
A beautiful blue glazed faience shabti, showing arms folded holding a pick and hoe and wearing a tripartite wig. He has a seed basket over left shoulder and hieroglyphs running down the front of the body, sides and back down the back pillar.
Although a fragment, it has a good glaze with clear hieroglyphs.
Provenance: Cambridge Gentleman Collection, collected in the 1990’s.
