Roman Bronze Enamelled Composite Plate Brooch
Item Description
C. 2nd century AD
A Roman bronze enamelled composite plate brooch consisting of four conjoined discs in the form of a cross, with three concentric circles within each disc. Two of the discs have dark blue enamel which are mostly intact with eleven smaller circles to the outer ring.
Although a little bend with pin missing, it is a beautiful piece with a nice dark blue enamel.
