Superb Roman Silver Crossbow Brooch
Item Description
C. 3rd century AD
A beautiful Roman silver crossbow brooch with a bronze pin. It has a high arched bow, and a knob protruding from the head of the brooch. It has incised decoration running along the foot and a rectangular catch-plate.
Catch-plate a little damaged otherwise good detail and a nice example.
