Lower Cretaceous Period- C. 125 million years old
The Hyphalosaurus lingyuanensis also known as the Sinohydrosaurus lingyuanensis, is a marine lizard from the Yixian Formation of Liaoning province, China. This fresh water reptile lived in the deepest part of the lake environment, in the mud along with other organisms such as fish and crustaceans. It had a flexible long neck and small flattened skull indicating that it was a hunter, preying on fish or arthropods.
Repaired with glue residue otherwise a nice example with good definition on a stone matrix.
