Greek Campanian Terracotta Black-Glazed Guttus With Lion Headed Spout

C. 4th century BC
A beautiful black-glazed terracotta guttus with vertical ribs around the perimeter and a single loop handle at a right angle. It is decorated with six incised palmettes to the top and a fine lion headed spout to finish.
Some small chips to surface with fine detail and excellent example.
Provenance: Old English Collection sold at the provincial auction in 2018.
